The word unscramble tools on unscramble.net are not the only word resources you'll find there. In fact, the site has a unscrambler, a dictionary, a find-the-rhyme tool, a crossword finder and a forum about unscrambling words. This site is mainly frequented by people who enjoy word games such as Scrabble and crosswords. You might hate to hear this, but many of the people who play on online Scrabble sites use word unscramble pages to help them find the best words to lay down on the Scrabble board. This might take the fun out of playing virtual Scrabble or make you want to play only live Scrabble. Or maybe it might make you want to run out and use this tool for your own online games.

Even if you regard word unscramble tools as cheating, you can still use them for legitimate purposes. They might give you insight into how many word combinations there are available to you for any given word, helping you to see new word combinations and begin to break down the disparate letters in your own mind. When you finish descrambling the letter, there should be a quote staring you in the face. Hit the "Check It!" button to see if you're right, though this should be pretty evident, depending on whether the letters form a quote or not.

The Mixups site lets you decide whether to play on the "easy", "challenging" or "insane" level. Though I consider myself pretty good at scrambled wordgames, I personally found the easy setting to be pretty challenging in and of itself. I can't imagine what the insane level of word unscrambling would be.

Another classic word unscrambler is Design215, which lets you decide the length of a word, what letter the word starts with, what letter the word ends with, letters the word contains and an unscramble function.
